Año Nuevo en Valaparaíso y Viña del Mar (V Región) Estas fotos estan calentitas “recién sacadas del horno”, las tomé anoche mientras presenciaba la impecable presentación de juegos pirotécnicos que Valparaíso y Viña prepararon para este año. Siendo oriundo de la V región, he visto los fuegos artificiales de Valparaíso muchas veces y desde diferentes ubicaciones y todos los años me maravillo por igual. Porque como ustedes se imaginarán, no se trata solo de armar el show pirotécnico, también se trata de que ambas ciudades se preparan para recibir cientos de miles de personas provenientes de otras partes del país, principalmente de Santiago. Esto obviamente no es algo menor, hay que contar con acomodaciones para que los visitantes duerman, coman, estacionen sus autos, se desplacen por la ciudad, etc sin que ésto se convierta en una pesadilla y en mi humilde opinión estas dos ciudades han logrado convertirse en excelentes anfitrionas. Este año se lanzaron fuegos artificiales a lo largo de 21 kilómetros de borde costero, para ello se instalaron 18 puntos de tiro en los que se utilizaron 15 toneladas de explosivos y 18 mil bombas. Hablando de fotos, debo decirles que tomar fotos a fuegos artificiales no es fácil, hay que tener un trípode, una buena ubicación que cause que el encuadre sea fotográficamente interesante, hay que anticipar los tiempos de exposición de tal manera que no sólo las luces de los fuegos se vean bien, pero que también el entorno se distinga claramente. Por último hay que tratar que las fotos buenas se produzcan al principio del espectáculo donde aún no se ha acumulado demasiado humo y como si todo lo anterior fuese poco, todo esto hay que hacerlo rodeado de gente celebrando, gritando, empinando vasos, repartiendo abrazos…. Definitivamente una tarea mas bien difícil. En mi caso, creo que no me fue tan mal, quizás las fotos no son tan espectaculares por los fuegos mismos, pero creo que captan la atmosfera… y ustedes que piensan?? Si el próximo año están de vacaciones en estas fechas, venganse a la V región, lo van pasar muy bien….., sólo preocupense de estacionar el auto en un lugar seguro y dediquense a caminar y a tomar fotos, se van a acordar de mi…. Comentarios: Fotos tomadas con tripode. | These pictures were just taken; I took them last night while I was admiring the impeccable fireworks presentation that Being born and raised in the V region, I have seen Valparaíso fireworks many times from different locations and every single year I am equally amazed. As you may imagine this event is not just about putting together a fireworks show, it also about being prepared to receive hundred of thousands of visitors from different parts of the country, specially from Santiago. Obviously this is not a minor task; there must be lodging accommodations, restaurants, parking areas, vehicle traffic control, etc to avoid turning these activities into a nightmare… in my humble opinion these two cities have achieved that stage becoming excellent hosts. This year the fireworks were fired along the 21 kilometers of the coastline. There were 18 firing points; they utilized 15 tons of explosives and 18 thousand bombs. Speaking of pictures, I have to say that taking fireworks pictures is not an easy task. You need a good sturdy tripod, a good location that helps creating a nice image, you have to predict the exposure time in such a way that not only the fireworks light will look OK, but also the light of the details of the surrounding area. Finally, good pictures have to be taken at the beginning of the show, before the smoke contaminates the environment... and…if all above was not enough, everything has to be done having people around you, celebrating, screaming, drinking champagne, hugging everyone… definitively not an easy task. In my case I think I didn’t do that bad, the pictures aren’t great, but at least they capture the atmosphere… what do you guys think?? If next year you are taking vacations around this date, come to the V región, you will have a very good time…., just make sure to park your car in a safe place and start walking and taking pictures….
